First Look: Alexander Wang x H&M

This is a dream collaboration if you secretly love wearing track pants (like all the time). The long-awaited Alexander Wang x H&M collection made its debut on the streets of New York when the one and only, Rihanna was spotted in the crop top and leggings. OH MY. Then, Vogue Netherlands gave us another glimpse into the “Run The World” collection which includes feminine pieces – LBD, cut-out dress, embossed sweater and all things quintessentially WANG. I can’t wait to get my hands on the collection (at H&M prices!).

The collection will be launching at H&M Orchard Building and H&M ION Orchard on 6 November 2014.

Metallic Madness: Alexander Wang Anais Metallic Leather Loafer Pumps vs ASOS

I have been obsessing over Alexander Wang Anais metallic leather loafer pumps for the longest time. It comes in metallic black, blue, silver and pink or so I’ve checked online. I am lusting after the metallic pink pair from Net-A-Porter. A girl can dream right? In my search for the perfect pair of metallic loafers, I stumbled upon cheaper alternatives available on ASOS. See below for metallic loafers because this blogger simply can’t get enough of it!

Isn’t this TO-DIE-FOR? I need this Alexander Wang Anais metallic leather loafer pumps (£592.96) from Net-A-Porter. Hurry, buy it or REGRET it!

If you can’t afford it, how about a lookalike? ASOS WHITE WHITNEY High Vamp Metallic Cone Heel Shoe is a cheaper alternative at £85.00 only. I just wish it comes with the tassel like the Alexander Wang version.

For Flat Lovers! Here are some metallic loafer alternatives from ASOS:

(left) ASOS MARS Metallic Loafer Shoes (£28.00). This metallic orange will brighten your day!

(right) ASOS MADGE Metallic Leather Tassel Loafer (£32.00). Love the tassels! I just might buy this.

Alexander Wang Opens in Singapore: A/W 2011 RTW

I’m not done with Alexander Wang! As you know, the Alexander Wang Pop-Up store at Forum the Shopping Mall opened last Saturday, 8th October 2011. This marks Alexander Wang‘s foray into the Southeast Asian market and of course, the 8th most fashionable city in the world – hur hur hur. Here are the key looks from the Alexander Wang Autumn/Winter 2011 collection for you to ogle at before you break the bank:

Those shoessssssssss!!!

The sheer, black trend resonates throughout the collection.

The dominatrix of the 21st century (as designed by Alexander Wang).

Alexander Wang Opens in Singapore: T by Alexander Wang AW 2011

I wish I blogged earlier. Really. Life as a blogger is always a Catch-22. Do I blog or do I live my life? Like I always say to myself, better late than never. Alexander Wang Pop-Up store opens last Saturday, 8th October 2011 at Forum the Shopping Mall. The Pop-Up store will stock Alexander Wang‘s womens Autumn/Winter 2011 RTW and T by Alexander Wang collection. This is a temporary setup until the flagship boutique opens in early 2012. YAY! I’ve been a fan of Alexander Wang for so long. It is awesome to see that the label is finally making its concrete mark in Singapore.

In the meantime, here are some of my favourite looks from the T by Alexander Wang A/W 2011 collection. Go to my Facebook Page to see the rest of the collection. Next up, Autumn/Winter 2011 RTW.

I DIE FOR THE SILVER MAXI. I DIE DIE DIE.

The cape is so sexxxy with triple xxx.

I love all things maxi and yes, leather maxi is so hawt!

Sheer goodness.

I can wear this everyday. Literally.

The lady is a vamp in T by Alexander Wang.

Fash-Looks: NYFW Spring 2012

New York! New York! The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2011 (a.k.a. NYFW 2011) brings a brand new season of trends: Sportswear, Softness, Color-Blocking, Alternative Outerwear and Street Style.

Alexander Wang: This man is unstoppable. For Spring 2012, he takes us on a race through the fast tracks with mesh bomber jackets, brights, body-hugging silhouettes and sheer tribal prints. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Jason Wu: I super duper love this collection. I don’t even know where to start. The print collaboration with KAWS is gorgeous. The dress (below) is to-die-for. LIKE!

Oscar de la Renta: This is a man who knows drama. He kicked start the show with a voluminous gown with couture lace crop top over it. You gotta admire the amazing craft on every piece in his collection. This season is a definite red carpet shoo-in.

3.1 Phillip Lim: His Spring 2012 collection reminds of how Spring is meant to be. His fresh, sorbet colors and minimalist look whisper sweetness into the new year of 2012.

Prabal Gurung: Can I just say that the Asian designers are kicking ass? Prabal Gurung’s floral print mixed with sheer fabric brings out a hidden sensuality of a woman. That laser-cut black dress worn by Karlie Kloss – I DIE A MILLION TIMES. That’s a winner, in my book.

Altazurra: Another designer inspired by sportswear this Spring 2012. Joseph Altazurra is lovin’ street style meets Hawaiian-like prints. I’m getting a little 90s vibe here.

Rodarte: I’m not a fan of the entire collection but I do like a couple of looks such as the Van Gogh-like print dress and the color-block look. Otherwise, the rest just look too ‘eerrr’.

BCBG MAXAZRIA: Color-blocking continues as BCBG MAXAZRIA brings back its love all things art-deco and minimalistic.

Calvin Klein: It’s all about feminine, soft lines for Calvin Klein. Forget structural pieces and bring back the curves! And yes, show off some bras.

DKNY: Donna Karan loves New York and she shows her adoration for her favorite city by using the iconic yellow cab as the backdrop of her Spring 2012 DKNY show. I’m absolutely lovin’ the jackets from this collection as well as the wide-brimmed sun hat.

Fash-Looks: New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2011

I feel like I’m just stepping into Spring/Summer season but the fashion industry has moved on to Fall/Winter RTW 2011. I may be a little late in reporting on the Fall/Winter but better late than never ever ever ever. Let’s start with a round up of my favourite looks from New York Fashion Week.

Prabal Gurung will be in Singapore for this May’s Audi Fashion Festival. I can’t tell you how many looks I’m in love with from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection. The one thing that stood out is this hand painted ombre coat. LOVE!

Alexander Wang is all about urban grit. This bomber jacket-poncho with those peep-toe boots! Such a knockout.
