AFF 2011: What I Wore to Antonio Berardi A/W 2011

Day Five! This time, Rouge World dressed me in Bolongaro Trevor Botanical Printed Dress from the S/S 2011 collection – it’s available at Society of Black Sheep (#B1-64, Marina Bay Sands’ The Shoppes) . The thing is, the dress was kinda BIG for me – it’s made for really tall people! So I wore a Uniqlo top underneath it and taped the top of the dress – to keep it in place. I added a black belt from Giordano Concepts – so I don’t look like I’m drowning in the dress.

Dress: Botanical Printed Dress from Bolongaro Trevor

Top: Black Heatech from Uniqlo

Belt: Giordano Concepts

Bag: Chanel 2.55

Sandals: Glassons

Dr Georgia Lee made an appearance!

Oli Pettigrew was dressed by Wykidd Song.

Men’s Fashion Week Day 1: Who’s Who

The inaugural Men’s Fashion Week kick started on March 30th, Wednesday in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. Personally, I’ve decided not to attend any of the MFW events (I’m so beat, really) but nonetheless, do follow the other SGFB (a.k.a. Singapore Fashion Bloggers) on their journey through MFW week. I’m so jealous that they are having all the fun without me *sad face* Thanks to their efficient PR team (Word of Mouth Communications, you guys are so on!), I’ve been getting high-res images and updates from the Men’s Fashion Week happenings. In case you’re wondering who are the ‘hot’ men and women who attended the opening day of Men’s Fashion Week, here they are:

Biggest name of the night: Model Godfrey Gao a.k.a. the Asian face of Louis Vuitton.

No one dresses up like celebrity stylist, Karen Ng. She totally man up in androgyny!

Dr Georgia Lee, celebrity hairstylist David Gan and Chairman of Men’s Fashion Week Frank Cintamani.

Dr. Gerrit Ruetzel and Godfrey Gao.

Mr. Nat Ho, Ms. Rebecca Lim, Mr. Andie Chen and guest. I wonder what label is Rebecca wearing… hmm.

Utt, Philip Huang and Julian Hee.

David Gan and gang.

The fashionable press people.

I don’t know what this is about but it looks like an after-party shot!

Dior Marina Bay Sands Opening Party: Celebrities Galore!

Celebrities came out to play at the Dior opening party at Marina Bay Sands last Thursday. Yes, more posts on Dior. I am not done with my blog posts yet. It wasn’t my ordinary weekday night as I rubbed shoulders with stars like Lisa S. (a.k.a. Mrs Daniel Wu), Charmaine Harn, Fann Wong, Ashley Isham, Felicia Chin, Joanne Peh, Tay Ping Hui, Beatrice Chia, Sulian Wijaya, Karen Ng, Dawn Yang, Dr Georgia Lee, Dolphin Yeo, Keith Png and many many many more. Oh yes, how can we forget Vicki Zhao Wei? More posts to come – but first, here are some of my pictures of the celebrities from that night:

Spotted: Dr Georgia Lee in Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2010

Singapore’s very own Dr Georgia Lee was spotted by streetstyle hunters at the recent Milan Menswear Fashion Week SS2011. The fashion chameleon looked smashing in Alexander McQueen‘s Snake Chiffon Dress from the Spring/Summer 2010 collection. A little birdie told me that she goes all out to snag the latest, hottest fashion item of each season. That’s a real fashionista, in my book. If only I have the digits in her bank account – ahh.

AFF 2010: Who’s Who at Roberto Cavalli Fall/Winter 2010

You can’t run away from the tai-tais. It’s the final day of Audi Fashion Festival 2010. I feel sad and relieved (so tireeddddd!) at the same time. I’m sure the organizers (yes, Mahdhir – you!) will need a little R&R after five-days of fashion and parties. Roberto Cavalli closed the annual AFF 2010 with his fall/winter 2010 collection. ANIMAL PRINTS. FUR. FEATHERS. GLADIATORS. SEQUINS. BLING BLING BLING. The celebrities, socialites and distinguished guests arrived in style and of course, in Roberto Cavalli. I was in awed – just looking at the display of glamour and high fashion all under one tent. I can’t wait till 2011 – it has been a fun, interesting five days. I’m missing the festival already. Now, let’s see who made it to the closing show of AFF 2010.

Keith Png, Joi Chua and Felicia Chin. In a strange way, I see harmony in the ‘prints’.

Dr Georgia Lee, so tall and slender. I want her height.

AFF 2010: Who’s Who at alldressedup Fall/Winter 2010

OK… I was late for alldressedup (well, not late late but late) so I only managed to take a picture of celebrity stylist Karen Ng before the show. It’s thrilling that now she knows my name! Also, I bumped into Little Nyonya star, Jeanette Aw after the show. My mum is a fan of hers! Other local celebrities spotted at the front row include Pierre Png, Andrea De Cruz, Bryanboy, Dr Georgia Lee and etc.

This is for my mum! Little Nyonya star, Jeanette Aw and yours truly.

AFF 2010: Who’s Who at Raoul Fall/Winter 2010

Raoul is the first show of Day Two at Audi Fashion Festival 2010. Tent@Orchard was swamped with beautiful people – mostly local celebrities, models, socialites and invited guests. That’s a guaranteed for Raoul‘s show. I was delighted to catch up with my pal, Linda Black and her husband Oli Pettigrew at the tent. We worked on several productions years before. I also met actor/model Paul Foster for the first time. I believe I casted him before – that was a long time ago. Other celebrities include the Flying Dutchman, Soo Kui Jien, Sarah Tan, Ashley Isham, Dr Georgia Lee and several Mediacorp actors. I’ve to say Bosch did a good job in providing yummy fashion food – still tiny though.

From left: Linda Black, Oli Pettigrew, Paul Foster & partner.

Yes, Karen Ng again – she’s very accessible when it comes to photos!

AFF 2010: DSquared Fall/Winter 2010

Carmen Kass with the Catens at Audi Fashion Festival 2010.

It’s all about vampires, hurr. Fake Blood. Feathers. Black. Blood Red. Glitter. DSquared2 Fall/Winter 2010 collection reminds me more of True Blood than Twilight. You can say, it’s a little sexier. I can understand why Tokio Hotel‘s Bill Kaulitz once walked the runway – the collection looks like his entire wardrobe! Tokio Hotel sat at the front row with the VVIPs like Dr Georgia Lee, Frank Cintamani and etc. I didn’t stay for their performance – and a lucky Tokio Hotel fan got my media pass to see them after the fashion show! So, don’t hate me 😀

Prada Official Opening & Book Launch at ION Orchard, Singapore

Vintage Dress from Dejavu Vintage

Bow Headband from Accessorize

Prada Tessuto Nappa Hobo

Rule #1: The early bird doesn’t catches the worm in the fashion world. In short, never be early for any fashion event. I hate being late, so I’m always on-time or slightly early. I attended the Prada official opening & book launch event yesterday with MyManyBags and Bagaholicboy – and yes, we were on-time. The massive double-storey Prada flagship store filled up pretty quickly with tai-tais, celebrities and familiar faces from the fashion industry.

prada-opening-ion-orchard-3

Spotted: VJ Denise Keller all decked up in Prada from head-to-toe and Singapore Idol judge, Dick Lee sipping champagne… Oh, Dr Georgia Lee looked stunning in a gold number. Models paraded around the store in the latest collection. One of the models were spinning music – and boy, I fell in love with the white shirt with studs and her blinged-out headphones!

Here’s something exciting: Each of us got a copy of Prada: The Book as a door gift (to be redeemed from today onwards!). It is currently retailed at 100 Euros – this 706-page book is heavy enough to kill a cat! I can’t wait to get my hands on them. Thanks to Kevin for inviting moi – yay!
