Bestest TV Style: Week [3 – 7 Nov]

BUSY TIMES AHEAD. Yup, school started yesterday and work is starting to get a little crazy. In a way, it’s good because I’ll be occupied before my big year-end break. Then again, I’ll have to juggle ‘blogging’ and ‘meeting dad & friends’ on top of everything else. Not enough hours in a day, as usual. Last week, Gossip Girl gets saucier as lil’ J turns into a fashion rebel. 90210 parties hard and someone gets into trouble in her new pair of hot boots. Lipstick Jungle continues (I’m blogging two episodes here) and I’m still lovin’ The Rachel Zoe Project. It’s totally bananas!

Bestest TV Style: Week [27 – 31 Oct]

OMFG. Gossip Girl keeps getting better! And, more incestuous! 90210 makes a comeback this week. And, Lipstick Jungle has a new time slot on Friday. I just realised that I’ve to catch up on The Rachel Zoe Project, Ugly Betty and Stylista (does anyone know where to find this online?). Gosh! I’m watching too much TV! Today, I’m kinda bed-ridden with my laptop at home – the stomach is really killing me. I’m hugging my hot water bottle and sipping green tea. Bubster is bringing me lunch – I hate feeling sick. Ugh, my first MC in a long long time. I’m not seeing any doctor!! So, more reason for me to stay in bed and catch up on TV. Hee. Anyway, let’s see some fashion fun:

The Rachel Zoe Project: “Fashion Makes The Star, Makes The Fashion”

If you like fashion, you’re gonna enjoy watching The Rachel Zoe Project. I just watched two episodes and I’m already lovin’ it. Her Styling Associate, Taylor has awesome style and the greenhorn, Brad is your typical, preppy gay fashionista. There’s the drama, shopping addiction, heaps of designer everything and dosage of celebs. At least I think I learn a thing or two about fashion, you know. Here are the snapshots from episode 1:

Bestest TV Style: Week [6 Oct – 10 Oct]

Foo-wahh! It has been one crazy week with BB in the house. Anyway, it’s time for Bestest TV Style (I’m almost sounding like a cheesy TV presenter) for Week 6 Oct to 10 Oct. Gossip Girl went on a holiday last week – leaving some of us wondering, “Why isn’t GG up yet?” but she’ll be back this week. Lipstick Jungle made me weep, just a little. 90210 ended on a high note – drama drama drama. Project Runway finalised the lucky trio to compete at Bryant Park. Let’s check out the looks, shall we?

90210: “Hollywood Forever”

Things were very exciting in the last episode. Totally redeemed the entire season to date! I want those pink booties that Naomi is wearing. Super hottt! BTW, somebody got arrested and I think somebody O.D. and possibly, died. Ooh, drama.

They’re such a cute couple! There’s something stripy that I like about her jacket.

Lipstick Jungle: “Let It Be”

The men. YUM. I’m diggin’ Victory‘s new man – the Contractor. Hot.

Project Runway S5: Finale Part 1

We know that the designers have designed a bridal gown as part of their final collection. What you didn’t know, is the surprise that comes when the designers returned to NY. They’ve to design a bridesmaid dress in a day – and this determined who goes to NY Fashion Week.

Bestest TV Style: Week [29 Sept – 3 Oct]

Update: So, BB has yet to reply my email or sms. I guess he is either busy or just couldn’t be bothered. I don’t know. Well, that’s all for now.

We’re back for another week of Bestest TV Style. The best of fashion from my favourite TV shows, of course. Let’s just say Gossip Girl totally rocked the house last week with one of the biggest episodes ever with guest appearances such as Michael Kors (reportedly a big fan of the show) and socialite Tinsley Mortimer in her second appearance in the show. Lipstick Jungle introduced a hot new guy for my favourite character, Victory Ford. Let’s hope this goes somewhere! 90210 is still the same – nothing too exciting but clothes still look good. Project Runway S5 is heading to Bryant Park very soon. This is one emotional episode and a good one too. Can’t wait for what’s in store this week!

Bestest TV Style: Week [22/9 – 26/9]

With the abundance of stylish TV shows, I decided to start this new “weekly” summary of the best fashion, hair, finds on my favourite TV shows. You can expect to see fabulous styles from Gossip Girl, 90210, Lipstick Jungle, Ugly Betty and etc. Here’s a quick recap of the bestest TV style for week 22/9 to 26/9:

Lipstick Jungle Season 2

The girls are back! Lipstick Jungle is back with sassier storylines, but same fabulous ladies. Season 2 started with a funeral, and three best friends chuckling away in the front row – now, that’s something you don’t see often at a funeral.

Funeral-chic. I guess black is mandatory at funerals. Make a statement with pearls or big, long, layers of necklace. Clutch-bag is easy – you don’t want to be bringing your entire ‘world’ with you.

Gossip Girl

Queen B, step aside because Queen S is taking over.

Blair’s style is impeccable. Can hockey look any hotter? Love the red bow belt.

Who’s the new girl in school? Naughty, naughty Dan Humphrey.

Project Runway Season 5

This has to be the most interesting, and craziest challenge of Project Runway history. Each designer has to design an outfit inspired by a musical genre for another ‘designer’. You can imagine the chaos! It’s fun to see what their interpretation of each musical genre and some didn’t even “get it”. Leanne is Hiphop on the left, and Korto is Country.

Jerrell is rock ‘n’ roll. Kenley ‘Spears’ is Pop. She looks so different!!

Lovin’ Lipstick Jungle

I’m so glad that I finally have time to catch up with my TV shows since New Zealand. I know Gossip Girl will be starting soon (yes!)… and Cashmere Mafia‘s future isn’t looking too bright. Alas, I’ve managed to watch the most talk-about TV show (or Cashmere Mafia‘s arch rival) by the mother of ‘Sex and the City‘, Candace Bushnell – Lipstick Jungle. Oh yeah, more pretty clothes, sex, scandal, relationship hiccups and hot men (do I sense a Mr. Big equivalent?)… I mean how can I not be ecstatic right? My verdict (after 3 episodes): I love it, but it’s not Sex and the City. Nothing to date seems comparable to the hit TV series – not even Cashmere Mafia. But, I see potential in Lipstick Jungle. The show is starting to grow on me. And I’ll tell you why:

No. 1 Girl Crush: Victory Ford (played by Lindsay Price)

NBC said that, “This sexy new drama follows three high-powered friends as they weather the ups and downs of lives lived at the top of their game.” I am forming a girl crush on Victory Ford, played by Lindsay Price (Beverly Hills 90210, Coupling) – just look at her. She’s soooooo pretty! Her exotic good looks originated from her Korean/German/Irish/American heritage and I seriously can’t stop looking at her. And of course, she wears the cutest clothes in the show! She plays a fashion designer so technically, she should be wearing the most trendy and chic clothes among the girls.

Victory Ford: Girly & Chi-Chi

From Episode One, I heart the thick red head band that she was wearing to her runway show at Bryant Park. Her style almost parallel with Blair’s from Gossip Girl which is very classy and at the same time, fun and chic. The pink bubble dress she wore for her date with mysterious billionaire is sooo adorable

Victory Ford: Smart & Classy

Victory gets down to serious business when necessary. Her free-spirited character adds some laughs and smiles. Her facial expressions is so animated when she’s all wired up by some crazy drama. Don’t we love dramas? Well, especially when we’re not involved in it. I love the way she accessorize with layers and layers of pearls over the sleek white shirt-blouse. And, I love pink… and I can’t emphasize enough how much I love that dress on her.

Victory & Joe: Love is All You Need

Joe is kinda like Mr. Big but he cares ‘more’ and he’s bossy. So he’s the man in Victory’s life right now… I don’t know about him. He can be charming at times, but he doesn’t exudes sexual tension like Chris Noth playing Mr. Big. You know… I don’t know. He doesn’t make me wanna push him against the kitchen counter (ok, this ends here). But they make a cute couple (been using the word ‘cute’ alot hurrr). Her style is impeccable.

Nico Reilly (played by Kim Raver)

I’m not going to mention Brooke Shields character because there is nothing worth mentioning. The other character that caught my attention is Nico Reilly played by Kim Raver (24) who is editor-in-chief for Bonfire magazine (Think Vanity Fair). And, she’s hungry for some real meat. I love the coats she wears in the show – her style is clean, professional, confident and very fierce. You know you don’t wanna mess with her. And, she’s sleeping with the hottest guy on the show. I present to you…

Kirby Atwood (played by Robert Buckley)

One word: YUMMY. Half of the time, he’s not wearing a shirt. He’s hot and steamy over Nico – how can you not enjoy this? My boyfriend claimed that I was watching soft porn – haha. Forget Mr. Big equivalent. We want young, hot meat… err, I mean men.
